Exxon and the oil barons can raise fuel prices with impunity. $4 a gallon I would pay if it was a green tax on carbon to fund mass transit.
But the $4 a gallon at the gas tank is just another way rich people are fleecing us working people of every dollar -- in this case in the name of profit -- which seems to have no upper limit.
